I’ve created this page on our site – hidden from public view – to provide you the directions and a diagram to improve your sound.
You can right-click on the diagram and download it. It’s a photo of a drawing, so the color might be a bit …uneven? … but the content is the most important thing.
You have what’s called a large diaphragm studio cartioid mic, as shown in the drawing. One quick 90º tilt, a big fluffy towel (as you said you have used before), and things should sound much better. There’s more we can do, but for the moment this is the quick fix (shown below).
